Car Dreams

My Wife wants this car.
She's not into BMWs so much, but she loves the color.
I'll take the girl who's driving.

Hummingbird Wars - The Empire Strikes Back

The birds are guarding the hummingbird feeder now.
They have conquered the hummingbird and occupied his feeder.
They have no intention of ever giving it back.

The hummingbird, now homeless, waits, watches, and plots his strategy in silence.

The bird calls in reenforcements.
"Now he'll never gets his feeder back," boasts the bird. "We are much too strong."

The other bird stands watch up in the crows nest.
"Another bird is coming!" he shouts.

Indeed, one more bird to feed.
Surely now the hummingbird will give up and go away.

But instead, the hummingbird sits and waits.
"There are so many of you. I don't think there's enough food to feed you all," he shouts.

The birds look at the food, then look at each other.
"You were the last one here. You don't eat," the first bird says to the third bird.
"Oh like hell I'm not. You've been here the longest. You've had plenty. YOU don't eat," the third bird screams in response.

And the trouble begins.

"Get off! There's not enough food for us all," the second bird shouts in panic.
The three birds begin to fight like mad.

They fight and they fight.
Finally all three birds, now beaten and wounded from fighting with each other, are forced to retreat.

The stubborn little hummingbird simply flies home again.

"Dumbass birds."

And so ends another chapter in the saga of the hummingbird feeder.

Hummingbird Troubles

Here is our hummingbird feeder, as used appropriately.
For some reason the camera was determined to focus on the bush behind the hummingbird.

Here is the hummingbird feeder as it has been used lately.
Something is wrong here.

Here is the hummingbird, royally pissed off.
For a time he buzzed the invading birds and they flew away, but they've since grown accustomed to that and now simply ignore him.
All he can do is watch as they guzzle his food like fat people at a buffet.
This has been going on for at least a week.
These birds must be really buzzed from all that sugar.

Animal Kingdom

Tiny ponies for tiny cowboys.

Someone is on the wrong side of the fence.

Happy boy!
