Saturday Bike Ride

We set off on the trail this afternoon about 3 p.m.

Nice bridge, the only one on the trail with rails and built wider than a plank

Black man fishing

Dogs wanting a horse to play chase

Someone forgot where they parked their car

Here's a great example of why I don't run without a shirt on. Aside from getting sunburned I'd probably get photographed and wind up in the internet looking like this guy. No thanks.

Lightning struck this tree years ago. Those tiny shapes underneath it are people.

Paddle boats - $10 for 1 hour

On the drive home we stopped at Batman's house to see how it was coming along.

I've always wanted to live in a house large enough to have a bridge in it.

You could get a good workout just walking around in this house. There is an elevator shaft at the end of this hall. Seriously.

Next door happy children play in what appears to be a park. It's their immaculate backyard.

Across the street from Wayne Manor they're building a small cottage. Isn't it cute?

Comments:
Wow!! I love these! I would so be all over that car taking detail pics of it. And maybe I missed something with Wayne manor..who is moving in there? Adam West? I laughed at the running man, too. Hey, at least he is trying, right?

Laura, I'm glad you liked these photos. I wasn't sure if I should post them or not. I can't get a feel this weekend. I don't know how to explain that, but I keep looking at my photos and thinking "is this just interesting to me or should I put them up?" I can't seem to get my head straight today.

I wanted to shoot a lot more photos of the car and the shack it was next to, but we had passed an unfriendly walker and they were catching up with us while I fought with my little camera. I've really got to find something just as compact, but with better functionality. That camera is making me nuts.

The name of the people moving into the house was on a sign out front along with the builder, but we didn't know them. We just went in to see what the castle was like inside. It had a giant 2 car garage and then further back in the house was another giant 2 car garage, then a bay for mowers and stuff, then a giant workshop, all attached to the house on the same side. That's how deep the house was. And then we came upon the elevator shaft. Incredible! And 2 stair cases, and a bathroom for every bedroom. And a waterheater for every bathroom in the attic. I didn't post the photos of the roof tiles, but they were those interlocking clay pottery type things, cost a fortune. And all the upstairs bedrooms had access to a balcony and lots of windows. Just unbelievable. The mansion across the street was less complete inside and less impressive, although I'd take it even so. The house beside that one had a backyard the size of 2 football fields side-by-side with a giant tree in one corner, but nothing other than that. It was heaven to me, just pure green grass. I wish you could have been there.

Yeah, I wanted to laugh at the jogger guy, but I kept looking at the photo and thinking "I'll bet I look just like that and just don't know it."

Uh huh..you were afraid the blair witch was in that shack, weren't you?? What do you mean by ~unfriendly walker~?? We have a castle house in our town, too...but people are living in it. It is the hugest, most bizarre looking house I have ever seen.
Maybe I'll go snap some photos of it.

We passed a walker who offered a lecture as we went by on how to alert walkers to the presence of oncoming bikes. You know, I've never actually seen Blair Witch. Maybe I should?

OH MY GAWD YOU ARE SERIOUSLY CRACKING ME UP!!!!!!!!!!

More photos please!!!!!

Robin, I haven't seen you at my photo blog before. I'm glad you like it.

seeing as though it's three years passed since these were taken, i wonder what that area looks like now with the new houses... i love the big american houses.... they are so wonderful. =)

Ute, I love big American houses, too, but these suckers were enormous!
